V2008.10.20 Oct. 20, 2008 - VPro BR194, Added an additional field to the cyclized database in order to speed up the cyclize and matching functions. Users should see a 10%-20% decrease in the amount of time it takes to perform both functions. - VPro BR193, Eliminated the creation of temporary database files when Signals are designated type 'Ignore'. In addition, when users create sessions using the 'New Session' function, the initial type for all signals will now be 'Ignore'. This change will all allow Sessions to be loaded much faster. - VPro BR192, Added a major feature that allows users to compare two saved signal databases to one another, or a single database to the current session. The compare GUI lets users compare selected signals, or all signals and shows the user the percent difference between the two signals. Finally, the user can view the compared signals in the compare viewer along with a 'Difference' signal. - VPro BR191, Added the ability for users to 'Undo' or 'Redo' the conditioner steps they have applied to the signals in their sessions. The current state of VectorPro is included in the database files including all signal information, all session information, and all timing and conditioners. Users will now be able to save their current state and return later to continue with conversion. V2008.05.05 May 5,2008 - VPro BR167, Added support for formatted text in the monitor. Error messages will now be in red text, warnings in blue text, and regular messages in black. Match failures were all standardized to make them more consistent and intuitive to the users. - VPro BR166, Changed the 'Snap' and 'IOAlign' conditioners to allow negative values in the 'offset' field. This allows users to move events into the prior or following cycle. In addition, when users select the 'Leading' cycle edge to move events towards, the 'offset' field will have negative values to move the event prior to the leading boundary, and 'offset' will be positive when moving the event to after the leading boundary. This is opposite of the currently released behavior and will force users to change all conditioners fitting this scenario. - VPro BR163, Fixed bug where window strobe edgesets with S1 and S2 values being the same are changed to edge strobe edgesets. This was causing invalid WGL and STIL output being generated. - VPro BR162, Changed the way histograms are displayed from ASCII based histogramming to image based. The new histogram view is in 'Gif' image format and shows both input and output histograms in the same image. Users can also click on any histogram bar to display the time range of the bin for that result. - VPro BR161, Optimized all major operations in an effort to increase the speed of the tasks. The overall speed improvements range from 25% to 40% depending on the input files. On average the larger the input VCD/EVCD file, the greater the improvement in speed. - VPro BR160, Added support for matching Timesets instead of Edgesets. This enhancement allows users to program and match Timesets of their choice, but still maintains the old method of only matching programmed edgesets. If Timeset mode is choosen in the Timeset Editor Tab, then the Matching algorithm will match the cyclized dB cycle-by-cycle trying each timeset listed in the Editor Tree. The order the Timesets appear will be the same order the match algorithm uses when matching. - VPro BR159, Fixed bug where the directory chooser was not allowing users to easily select the input, output, or temporary directories when setting the global directory options. - VPro BR158, Fixed bug where D2/S2 edge values in the Edgeset editor were not being checked to ensure their values were greater than the D1/S2 edges respectively. - VPro BR157, Fixed invalid license file message by limiting size of error messages to 150 chars. - VPro BR147, Added support for verifying the system time to ensure it is accurate. - VPro BR144, Fixed bug where the Signal Viewer was displaying wrong decimals after exiting and restarting. - VPro BR142, Changed the way Vpro determines if a VCD/EVCD file is GZipped by using the file magic number instead of the file extension. - VPro BR141, Changed all file choosers to the new GTK2 chooser which supports file filtering. - VPro BR115, Added support for viewing VCD/EVCD groups or busses in the Signal viewer. User also have the ability to expand or collapse the groups. V2008.02.07 Feb.7,2008 - VPro BR140, Fixed bug where an edgeset match failure would occur for cycle 0 because an event occurred at time 0 of that cycle. - VPro BR135, Fixed bug where the 'Transition' conditioner failed when the first event matched the conditioner criteria. - VPro BR134, Added support in the 'Conditioner Editor' for users to enter the word 'end' in the 'endtime' field, which will have the conditioner act across the entire simulation file. - VPro BR133, Added support for double-clicking on edgeset, conditioner, and mapping nodes to start their corresponding editors. V2007.11.15 Nov.15, 2007 - VPro BR116, Added a timestamp and source filename to the output of all WGL files. - VPro BR120, Changed the way Groups are handled inside vectorpro. When groups are used in EVCD or VCD files, the signal names within the groups will be of the form "[index]". This allows the groups to be preserved in output WGL or STIL files. User may have to change existing session, timing, or conditioner files to make the signal naming compatible with the new naming convention. - VPro BR122, Fixed bug where filenames with multiple '.'s in them were being truncated in batch mode. Now only the 'vcd', 'evcd', and 'gz' extensions will be removed and replaced with the 'wgl', 'stil', 'wgl.gz', or 'stil.gz' extensions depending on the output type the user chooses. - VPro BR124, Fixed bug in STIL output when edge strobes were present. - VPro BR125, Fixed bug in vectorpro that would lock up the application if the user used the timing editor while a parse, map, or cyclize operation was being performed. - VPro BR126, Added support for scrolling in the waveform viewer when the cursor is inside either the Signal pane or the waveform pane. - VPro BR127, Fixed bug whereas a non-return(NR) edgeset would fail to match when a 'Z' event occured at the cycle boundary followed by a 'U' or 'D' event. - VPro BR129, Added support for selecting, then cutting or pasting multiple signals in the waveform viewer. The user can also de-select single, or multiple signals at once. V2007.10.11 Oct.17, 2007 - VPro BR106, Added support for floating licenses. This new feature allows VectorPro to communicate with Test Spectrum's new "License_Manager" application to checkout and checkin licenses. It also allows users to query the current status of an active license server. In addition, a new demo mode license is built into the product allowing users full functionality except output files will be truncated. The format of node-locked licenses was also changed, which will require user to obtain new node-locked license files when upgrading to V20071011. - VPro BR109, Changed Gui button name from "Map Bidirs" to "Map Events" on the main button bar. - VPro BR110, Fixed the algorithm to auto-generate strobe timing for 'Window' strobes only. The prior version was putting the strobe location 1/2 cycle width away from where it should have been. - VPro BR112, Fixed cyclization failure state transition, where a cyclize failure was not disabling the 'Match' button. Now when a cyclize failure occurs, the 'Match' button is disable until a subsequent cyclize operation succeeds. - VPro BR113, Added a warning popup box to appear when users click the 'Generate Timing from Histogram' button in the Histogram editor. The warning message alerts the user to the fact that all edgesets generated by this operation will be added to any existing edgesets in the timing editor. The user then has the option of continue or canceling the operation. - VPro BR114, Modified the Signal Equation Editor dialog by including an 'Add' button. This button allows users to add new bidirectional signal equations to the current session without closing the editor. This lets one repeatedly create then add equations, thereby reducing the amount of time required in setting up one's session for conversion. V2.0.0 June 14, 2007 - VPro BR108, Added a new 'Transition Masking' conditioner. This new conditioner will allow users to mask the region around a signal transition with any valid state character [XZUDHL]. The user will choose between masking 'Before' the transition, 'After' the transition, or 'Both' before and after. In addition, the conditioner will operate across the start and stop times entered by the user. - VPro BR107, Added a warning message that users will receive when they load a timing file that contains signals that are not included in the current session. - VPro BR103, Changed the default mapping of EVCD unknown direction events. These events will now be mapped by default to 1,0,?. In addtion, a new users 'Options Menu' will allow the users to change this default mapping to any one of the valid state characters supported [XZUDHL10?]. - VPro BR102, Fixed the parser to allow consecutive timestamps in the input simulation files without any signal events between the two timestamps. This is valid in the IEEE VHDL spec, but wasn't previously included in the vectorpro parser. - VPro BR100, Added another type of Signal Equation to allow users to map signal events. These new 'Event Mapping' equations will allow users to modify an existing signal based on the state of one or more signals in the simulation. In addition, the users will be able to specify whether the control signals are 'ANDed', or 'ORed' together when evaluating the equations. - VPro BR99, Added a mapping conditioner that allows users to map any of the events on a signal from any one state to any other state. This conditioner will operate across the user specified start and stop times. - VPro BR98, Added 'Auto-Timing Generation' capability to VectorPro. This new capability allow users to auto- matically generate timing 'EdgeSets' for all of the signals in their simulation. The 'Auto-Timing' mechanism uses a 'HistoGram' database to generate either 'NR', 'RL', or 'RH' edgesets depending on the results of the histogram for each signal in the simulation. In addition, a global menu was added to allow the users to bias the 'Auto-Timing Generation' mechanism. This menu allows the user to set a global 'Drive' and 'Receive' variance, select whether 'RL' or 'RH' formats will be used for clock signals, and finally whether the user would like the generator to user 'Edge' or 'Window' strobing for their output timing. - Added hotkey support to the Timing and Conditioner treeviews for use in 'Copying'(ctrl-c), 'Pasting'(ctrl-v) or 'Cutting'(ctrl-x) nodes from the trees. V1.5.0 Apr. 27, 2007 - VPro BR38, Added an additional check in the Edgeset Editor to ensure that both 'Drive' and 'Receive' timing are entered in the editor when creating/editing timing for a bidirectional signal. - VPro BR92, Rewrote the waveform display code to give the viewer an almost instantaneous response when zooming out to the maximum zoom level. This will eliminate viewer lockup situations where the viewer is taking long periods of time to update and the user perceives a lockup or freeze-up condition. - VPro BR93, Fixed bug whereas buses of the format: 'name[0]' in a simulation file, are expanded to a signal name of 'name_0'. They will now be expanded to a signal name of 'name0'. This change may impact existing session, timing, and conditioner files because names with the '_' character will no longer match the parsed names from a simulation file. In this instance, the user will need to create a new file (session/timing/conditioner), or edit the existing file and remove the '_' character in the name, but only if the name in the simulation is of the form: 'name[digit]'. Bus names of the format: 'name[lsb:msb]' are not affected. - VPro BR94, Fixed bug in the tooltip for the 'Offset' field in the conditioner editor. The old tooltip incorrectly stated that the offset value is used to calculate the distance to move events relative to the trailing cycle boundary, when it should have said the offset value is used to calculate the distance relative to either the trailing or leading cycle boundaries based on the conditioner sub-type selected. - VPro BR96, Added a button to the conditioner tab called 'Cyclize Conditioned Signals'. This button is an enhancement that allow users to re-cyclize signals, but only ones that have been changed by a conditioner operation. One exception to this rule is if the user fails to initially cyclize all signals, then clicking this button will then do a complete cyclization. Once a complete cyclization has successfully occurred, the button will revert to it's partial cyclization mode. - VPro BR97, A warning message is now logged to the monitor when a signal is parsed in a simulation file that is not present in the current session. These newly detected signals will also be added to the currently opened session as signal type 'IGNORE'. V1.4.1 Mar. 19, 2007 - VPro BR79, Fixed ability to detect duplicate symbols encountered during parsing of an EVCD file. - VPro BR80, Fixed incorrect outputting of the 'Waveform' construct. This only occurred when multiply '.' existed in the output file name. - VPro BR84, Fixed incorrect parse of busses in an EVCD file. This only occurred when the user tried to create a new session. - VPro BR85, Added support for EVCD types, "in" and "out". Previously, only "inout", "input", and "output" were supported. V1.4.0 Feb. 1, 2007 - VPro BR20, Added a "Continue for all Failures" checkbox options in the Timing Editor tab. - VPro BR57, Advanced Searching capabilities added to the viewer. - VPro BR58, Fixed bug where the user adds the output file extension to the output filename. A check was added to only add the extension (wgl/stil) if it wasn't in the filename. - VPro BR59, Added a check to see whether duplicate signals exists in the input Session file. A warning will be display, and the initial setting for the Signal in the session file will be asserted. - VPro BR61, Fixed WGL output to include the 'edge' keyword if the user timing is doing edge strobes. - VPro BR62, Added a check to ensure the user start/end times are not beyond the end of the simulation time. - VPro BR65, Fixed bug where 'CS' (complement surround) input drive format wasn't working. - VPro BR66, Added a menu item to the Signal Viewer that lets users change the display 'units'.
